Sacramento Arden Arcade Rotary Marzenfest  German Celebration

Marzenfest Celebration sponsored by the Arden Arcade Rotary is a fund-raiser that celebrates the spring beers, considered the freshest beers during the German annual celebrations, Oktoberfest and Märzenfest. In the old days the brewing season in Germany lasted from October to March. The last of the Märzenbier (March beer) was enjoyed at Oktoberfest, and the new Märzenbier was enjoyed at Spring Märzenfest. Music from the Die Alpen Band for singing and dancing, beer handcrafted by local award-winning breweries, and authentic German food will be served.

In addition to this fun event in which the public is invited to get out their festive German clothing or wear their regular styles and join in, the Rotary organization is known for its service to the community. Events annually are organized to raise funds for special needs and causes in order to help others.
