Poinsettia Bowl Football Game, in San Diego, California, takes place in December and ends in December. This College Football event is sponsored by San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl Ticket Office and will be located at Qualcomm Stadium.
This bowl was first played after the 2005 college football season
The Poinsettia Bowl post-season college football game takes place every December in San Diego, California and is held at Qualcomm Stadium. This is a fun event for sports fans of all ages to see college football teams compete against non traditional rivals.
As with any bowl game, traffic can be a major headache and the parking lot at Qualcomm Stadium is notorious locally for filling up to capacity hours before the game begins. Luckily for fans, the San Diego Trolley conveniently can drop you off directly next to the Stadium. If you're staying at a hotel off the Trolley route, either Mission Valley itself or more likely downtown, the ride is only around fifteen minutes at most to the game. If you're staying further away, or even if you live in Southern California it is possible to drive to any number of local parking lots which are designed for people to park and then Trolley to the game. Hazard Center offers a nice combination of available spaces and food options. We all know food choices at sporting events are usually of low quality and are generally dramatically overpriced, so eating before getting to the stadium is a great idea. Hazard Center offers an Applebees location as well as a local favorite in Joe's Crab Shack and a new addition in Randy Jones All American Sports Grill.
Of course, when attending a sporting event, ticket seat locations are of the utmost importance. If you have field level tickets for any Qualcomm Stadium event you'll need to be prepared to stand throughout the entire game. The first few rows of tickets have their views blocked by players standing on the sideline, so they stand up the entire time. The result is that everyone in the field level ends up standing as well so they can see the game.
Enjoy your time at the Poinsettia Bowl!
