Downtown Pleasanton’s Magical Holiday
Evening
Celebrate the holidays at Downtown
Pleasanton’s Magical Holiday Evening, the annual downtown open house.
The streets will come alive with the sights and sounds of the holidays.
Start your holiday shopping from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, November 21, and
celebrate the season with an evening of holiday festivities. Downtown
shops, restaurants and businesses usher in the holidays with festive
decorations, twinkling lights, banners, beautiful window displays and
holiday treats.
Festivities include visits with Santa and encounters with Elves who will
hand out candy canes and peppermint lollipops. There will be carolers,
choruses, bell ringers, flutes – all singing and playing your favorite
holiday tunes. Children of all ages will be delighted and entertained by
Dana Smith and his dog Lacey as Dana performs amazing fire juggling,
acrobatics and circus arts while Lacey "sings” with Dana and “leaps”
over willing volunteers! Balloon sculptors, face painters and Crackers
the Clown will all be on hand to celebrate the magic of the season.
Shop and dine downtown throughout the weekend (Friday evening through
Sunday) and you could be the winner of one or more Downtown Pleasanton
Gift Cards. Pleasanton’s distinctive downtown and hometown
atmosphere are inviting. Families, friends and individuals can shop,
dine and discover the holidays are brighter when visiting this charming
destination. pleasantondowntown.net

Where to stay: When visiting
Pleasanton, you'll find around 16 hotels. One of the least expensive is
the
Best Western, normally well under $100 per night. A host of
mid-range hotels in Pleasanton include popular amenities such as
affordability and extended stay suites. But we always prefer the chain
hotels:
Hyatt,
Hilton Pleasanton at the Club and Four Points by Sheraton.
