Palm Springs--The Art of Food & Wine™ Palm Desert, is a
four-day celebration showcasing the best in art, food and wine hospitality.
Honored with numerous awards for the
eventt's advertising efforts, production and communications, it was selected as
one of the Top 100 Annual Events in Southern California by BizBash; 2008 Gold
ADDY & 2008 Bronze ADDY Advertising Federation of the Desert honoree for
the poster to complement and commemorate The 2007 Art of Food & Wine Palm
Desert; 2008 Golden Trumpet for the event production firm, KemperSports.
Exhibitors at the event combine the love
of food and wine with fine art, providing a cultural feast to sample, sip and
savor. Among the interesting companies attending, Maple Leaf Duck Farms, Siku
Vodka, Russian Traditions and Ultimate Munch offer diverse products for the
public to learn about in the event, which is a four-day course on fine living.
While there are many activities and events throughout the four-day festival,
many visitors look forward to the grand finale on Sunday, November 9, from 11
a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa. Grand Tasting
Sunday includes over 20 of California's favorite wineries such as Sterling
Vineyards, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Ironstone Vineyards, Charles Krug
Winery, Gloria Ferrer and Carina Cellars. Celebrity chefs such as Tommy
Tang prepare gourmet faire, and restaurants such as Hog's Breath Inn, The
Cliffhouse and mister parker's provide top quality appetizers for sampling.
Paired with fine art from Desert Art Collection and Sculpture Garden, plus
several other renown galleries, guests will be entertained throughout the
afternoon.
Tickets are available for The 2008 Art of Food & Wine Palm Desert which will
take place November 6 – 9, and includes an opening night culinary competition,
celebrity chef demonstrations with well known chefs such as Tommy Tang shown in
the photo above, cooking and cultural seminars, golf tournament, decadent
dessert evening poolside, charity wine dinners, a concert, and two unique days
of Grand Tastings.
