Would you
like to see a hippo chomping on your favorite Halloween symbol--the
pumpkin? Don't cry boo-hoo! This is merely the antics of a happy animal
celebrating California's favorite season at the L.A. Zoo. Bears, birds,
hippos, rhinos, zebras and other animals share in the wild fun and the
wildest zoo around, the Los Angeles Zoo in Griffith Park next to Autry
Museum of Western Heritage in Los Angeles.
One
special weekend each year the kid-friendly destination decorates itself
into a holiday delight that offers additional things to see and do for
regulars who attend the zoo often and know it by heart. Arts & crafts,
candy treats, music and entertainment (the animals are the main show!)
offer families and adults the perfect Halloween escape.
There's a
giant Pumpkin Patch with jack-o-lantern carving, photo opportunities,
The Freaky Fun House at Treetops Terrace with Halloween entertainment,
tasty treats, face painting, wacky mirrors, and an amusement zone filled
with games.
While there are many Boo at the Zoo
events throughout California, the Los Angeles Zoo Halloween experience
promises to be one of the highlights of any weekend entertainment option
during your Halloween season.
