Orange, California--If you're looking for family fun,
Irvine Park Railroad offers year-round entertainment at an affordable
price, allowing Southern Californians to enjoy a day in the park with
the kids, who will be entertained with the enjoyable train ride
throughout an historic park nestled in the Orange foothills.
Irvine Park Railroad’s annual pumpkin patch is fun for the entire
family! Children and adults are invited to the pumpkin patch which is
open daily at 10:00 am beginning September 19th through November 1st.
Irvine Park Railroad is located inside of Irvine Regional Park in the
foothills of Orange, California. The pumpkin patch is located in
Locomotive Loop just behind the train station. Thousands of pumpkins, in
all shapes and sizes, fill Locomotive Loop. Visitors are sure to find
the perfect pumpkin!
This year’s pumpkin patch activities include: Train rides, hay rides, a
haunted house, a hay maze, pony rides, a moon bounce, carnival games,
John Deere tractor racers, face painting (weekends only), picture
stands, great food and The Orange County Zoo.
Admission into the pumpkin patch is free. Prices for all other
activities vary.
Children ages 12 and under can wear their Halloween costume to Irvine
Park Railroad on Saturday, October 31st. Every child that wears a
costume on that day will receive a free goodie bag filled with Irvine
Park Railroad giveaways.

The parking fee for Irvine Regional Park is approx. $3 per vehicle on
weekdays and $5 per vehicle on weekends. Location: 1 Irvine Park

Pumpkin Train Ride is a
ticket per person for a 12-minute train ride that takes passengers on a
scenic tour through Irvine Regional Park. Look for the perfect pumpkin
as the train circles Locomotive Loop and the Pumpkin Patch. Pumpkin
prices are based on size, and the Pumpkin Patch is complete with
Halloween décor and a farm house feel, ideal for taking pictures.
Hay Ride is 1 ticket per person, children 12 months and younger
ride FREE. The hay wagon pulled by a John Deere tractor takes a
20-minute ride through Irvine Regional Park. As you sit on top of hay
bales in the wagon, you'll be able to view some of the most beautiful
park scenery in Orange County.
John Deere Tractor Racer is 1 ticket per child, children ages 3 –
7. This new attraction for 2008 is great for any child up for the
challenge of peddling a John Deere tractor racer around a safe and fun
obstacle course. The tractor racers are a true-to-life replica of real
tractors.
Bounce House is 1 ticket per child for 15 minutes of jump time.
Children have a blast as they jump in the pumpkin bounce house.
Face Painting (weekends only) requires 2 tickets per face
painting. Every Saturday and Sunday, a skilled artist will turn
visitor's faces into something sweet or scary. Witches, pumpkins, ghosts
and more... face painting is another favorite Pumpkin Patch activity.
FREE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: Haunted House is free for all Pumpkin
Patch visitors. The haunted house is not too spooky for even the
youngest Pumpkin Patch visitors. The Giant Hay Maze for all Pumpkin
Patch visitors offers children and adults fun navigating through the
giant hay maze. Bales of hay are stacked at different heights... and,
you must use your intuition to work your way through the winding paths
to get to the end of the maze. Pumpkin Weigh Off allows guests to
guess The Weight of the Giant Pumpkin, but entrants require a valid
email to participate on this activity, as the winner will be notified by
email.
Food Vendors sell hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy and popcorn,
plus beverages. Food are charged per item. Pumpkin Picture Stands are
free for all Pumpkin Patch visitors. Create lasting memories by taking
photos in the festive, fall picture stands. Children and adults can pose
together in a picture stand too!
Addition activities that cost a
fee that are offered in the park regularly include pony rides, paddle
boat rides, Orange County Zoo, and moree!

mid-September through Oct.31. The hours are weekdays 10:00 am – 5:00 pm;
