Hot chili and cool cars are showcased in a sizzling summer event, Huntington Beach Elks Lodge # 1959's  WHEELS4WAVES, Huntington Beach Elks Chili Cook-off & Classic Car Show. This 2nd annual celebration will be held on the grounds of the Huntington Beach Elks Lodge, and for those seeking fun, you won't want to miss this event. Cars & chili are two classics that represent America's favorites.

 

The HB Elks expect to see a heated competition as the fever grows for chili cooking. The Chili Cook-off had over 20 teams representing Elks lodges in Orange County. There were also over 60 car show entrants.  

 

Salsa contest, live entertainment, hourly raffle drawings, a variety of vendor booths and a unique silent auction will all make for a full morning and afternoon of family fun.  

 

Hoping to raise funds to purchase Beach Wheelchairs to benefit THEY WILL SURF AGAIN, a division of the Life Rolls On Foundation, the chairs assist participants in an organization providing Adaptive Surfing Programs for injured athletes from around the country to converge for a day of surfing! TWSA connects dozens of volunteers, with a handful of injured surfers, together for a day of excitement, joy, and best of all, surf!

 

The HB Elks seek to purchase mobility mats to lay out on the sand. People with spinal cord injuries gain additional freedom, not feeling so paralyzed, if they can move from their wheelchairs along a pathway to the beach. Mobility mats  from the parking lot to an observation area covering a 20’ X 20’ section are needed to make this happen, and buying those mats is a goal of HB Elks.
