About the photo: The banquet meals for special events at The Renaissance Hotel Hollywood and Highland can be simple as a bowl of apples for a table centerpiece. Unusual by today's standards is to see glasses of iced tea with lemon at each place setting. In these quick, low maintenance servings meals you'll see your salad and dessert sitting on the table when you arrive, along with a a basket of bread. In this case, a simple salad with Caesar dressing, croutons and a cherry tomato were the starter. 

Renaissance Hollywood and Highland ballrooms and meeting space are excellent for conferences held on site at the hotel with Hollywood Hills or City Lights views. At the foot of the hotel is the Kodak Theater, connected to the hotel property, and Grauman's Chinese next door. The Renaissance is housed in a complex with a huge parking garage, shopping center with restaurants and shops and gift boutiques. This hotel really is centered in the heart of Hollywood culture and is where much of the star power exists, especially during the Oscars. Hotel rooms are quite modern in decor and are the size of suites. Having stayed on both sides of the hotel, we've enjoyed the lush hills on the side that looks to the sign "HOLLYWOOD", but probably prefer the city lights views on the other side of the building that enjoys views of downtown Los Angeles in the distance.
