Cypress Church will be sponsor a BBQ picnic at Evergreen Park on Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 pm. The BBQ is part of "Cypress Community Service Day" and the public is invited. There will be Southern style pork BBQ with trimmings prepared by the Knights of the Holy Grill as well as live music and games for the entire family.

In addition to the BBQ picnic, residents will see members of the Cypress Church family engaged is many service projects throughout the city. The church plans to paint park benches and picnic tables, deliver food to needy residents and clean up public access areas throughout the Cypress area.

Cypress Church has recently started their "40 Days of Community" spiritual growth campaign. They are also celebrating their 30 year anniversary this fall. "It is a both a joy and privilege to be part of this wonderful community of Cypress City and its neighboring cities. This community is great place to live, raise a family, work, and serve.
