The Ironman 70.3 Vineman Triathlon (formerly the Half Vineman Triathlon) consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run triathlon and is a qualifier for the Ironman World Championship 70.3 at Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, NV. This event has become one of the most popular and highly competitive triathlons in the world.

In 2005 USA Triathlon offered a pilot program called the AquaBike. Events which are participating in the AquaBike program will give athletes the opportunity to compete in a category where they will complete the swim and bike portions of the race, while omitting the run leg of the race.

**NOTE: In 2013 all participants of Barb's Race will be required to fundraise a minimum of $250. (deadline to raise these funds is JUne 30) All of these monies will go toward the Vineman Charity Grants which in turn donates the money to local cancer related groups.

2013 marks the 24th Annual Full Vineman Triathlon, making it the oldest independant full distance triathlon held in the continental United States. The experience which Vineman athletes have will be unmatched, as they swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles through beautiful Sonoma County's wine country.

This fun-filled triathlon series will give kids from 6 to 14 an opportunity to swim, bike, and run in a triathlon organized just like those for adults.Every child will receive a finishers medal in this non-intimidating event where the focus is on fun, fitness, and giving kids a taste of the growing sport of youth triathlon. The race will be staffed with experienced triathletes, and plenty of volunteers will be on hand to provide support prior to the race and out on the course.
