Event HistoryThe TRI for FUN Sprint Triathlon began in 1983, started by Fleet Feet Sports founder Sally Edwards. TBF Racing took over the event in 2001 and have enjoyed working with the SMUD Staff at Rancho Seco Park to bring you this classic Series of Triathlons each summer.

Event HistoryThe USAT Sanctioned Tri for Real Olympic-distance Triathlon was added to our TRI for FUN Sprint Triathlon Series in 2003 to make the events a full weekend of Multisport. In 2007 we added the TRI for KIDS races for athletes aged 4 to 14 years old on the same day as the Tri for Real events.
