The Port Town Throwdown and 5k for a Cure is a Fundraising Benefit for The Life Rolls On Foundation It will consist of a 5k Run/walk and CrossFit Team Competition.The Event, held at 22nd Street Park in San Pedro is part race and part spectator event, featuring live music played all day, food trucks, beer garden, and Shopping.The beer garden, sponsored by the San Pedro Brewing Company, is giving each runner over 21 1 Beer ticket!Immediately following the Run, the days events will kick off with the CrossFit Team competition.15 Teams from all over Southern California will compete for the Fittest Team in The South Bay in 3 Challenging Workouts .The entire event benefits the Life Rolls On Foundation, dedicated to improving the quality of life for young people affected by spinal cord injury and utilizes action sports as a platform to inspire infinite possibilities despite paralysis. Long Beach Triathlon is a sprint distance triathlon. Half mile swim, 11 mile bike, and 3 mile run.
