Surfing Santa arrives in
Capitola Each November, Bringing Aloha Cheer
Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Noon at Main Beach
Oh, you better watch out, you better not cry, you better not
pout...I'm telling you why. Surfing Santa is coming to town!
Capitola -- Each year the
team kayak
rows into shore, bringing aloha spirit from Surfing Santa and his helpers to good girls and boys in
Capitola by the Sea in Santa Cruz County. One of those charming places you
wish you could capture in a bottle, if wishes really do come true, wish for
a holiday in Capitola often filled with sunshine and surfing.
The holidays are meant to be enjoyed, and the best things
don't need to be plastic-wrapped. Take a trip with your family or go by
yourself to Capitola during the holidays for special magic. There's an
antique train up in the mountains at Felton that makes a holiday run,
there's the exciting Santa Cruz Boardwalk just up the road, and then there's
the festival, artsy atmosphere that only Capitola offers.
The annual Surfing Santa event is sponsored by the
Capitola-Soquel Chamber of Commerce and begins with Santa's arrival from the
Pacific Ocean. On the beach and all dried off, Santa listens to the wish
lists of kids who are prepared to share.
Music, games, entertainment for all ages, and beach fun make
this the holiday beach-lovers have been waiting for. For annual updates on
the event, be sure to visit the website, capitolasoquelchamber.com
This fun event is but one of many throughout the year. We
especially love the
Begonia Festival and Parade.
