With all the enthusiasm for
celebrating the wild west, Silverado Days, a 50 something tradition, is
well attended. Get out your silver spurs and jingle jangle your way over
to Buena Park for some real down home Hog Calling, Mutt Contest, Cute
Baby Contest, Custom Hot Rod Car Show, Arm Wresting, etc. Will the fun
never stopp? Also enjoy the
Chili Cook-off
and
Car Show.
In recent seasons it has hosted
well over 200,000 people with good times with games, crafts, contests,
rides, food and fun for the whole family. Food booths, 20 game
booths, 85 arts and crafts booth and 30 carnival rides to share with
family and friends are just a sampling of what you'll find at Buena
Park's Silverado Days annual celebration. The carnival is open Friday
from 4 to midnight (rides open at 5), Saturday from 10:00 to midnight
and Sunday from 10:30 to 9 (rides open at 12:00 noon Sat. and Sun.)
Featured contests include World Amateur Arm Wrestling Championship,
Custom Car Show, a pie-eating contest, hog calling, Baby Contest (on
Saturday), dog show.
