Borrego Springs Circle of Art Show March 20 & 21, 2010

BORREGO SPRINGS: An annual fine arts show is held each March for one weekend in  Christmas Circle Park in Borrego Springs, Calif.

The annual Circle of Art Show and Sale features more than 70 artists and crafters with names such as  Andre Blanche, Sunny Daniels, Jo Ann Ginepra, Lee Jayred, Kerry Kinman, Dusty Kinman, Marjorie Reed, David Salk, Dillie Thomas and Armand Vallee participating. Original fine art water colors, oils and acrylics, mixed media, ceramics, pottery, hand blown glass and even wooden carved items are showcased in this annual event held each March.

The show is free and open to the public. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Each year the show selects an artist to create a commemorative poster of the event. This year's winner is Felicia, whose photograph, “Cahuilla Seed Gatherer” serves as the event  poster.

The park is on Christmas Circle off state Route 22. Borrego Springs is approximately a two hour drive from San Diego. Located north of Anza Borrego State Park, be sure to visit the park when you are attending the art show. You'll see where some of the artist get their inspiration.
