Bonfire
Beach Event - California Beach Events Roast Marshmallows at Beach Bonfire
One of the best ongoing
events at California Beaches is the bonfire. You can do it solo, as a
couple, family or group. The most popular way to enjoy bonfires at the
beach, by far, is the gathering of friends numbering four or more.
Are you looking for an affordable
event or gathering this season? Beach bonfires in California offer the
cheapest form of entertainment you can enjoy. Add some marshmallows
(shown in the video above), hot dogs or something toasty to eat, and
you'll have a beach feast.
The event begins with the agreement
on where to meet. With over 20 bonfire locations throughout California,
you'll need to set your sights on an attainable goal--getting a fire pit
that's available.
Tip: Your odds of getting a firepit
in Southern California improve markedly in the months of September
through May. Also, weekdays in the summer tend to be a lot easier than
weekends.
Not every place requires a fire ring
to build your fire in. On the Central California coast, you'll find
spots where you build your pit out of the sand and just light it up.
Shown in the video above is a
Southern California beach in the Los Angeles/ Orange County / San Diego
area. The pits are free and available on first come, first serve basis.
You must bring your own wood for the fire. And most people cooking
forget to bring either coat hangers, cooking spears or other items to
dangle your foods over the fire about 3 feet so you don't get too close
and get burned.
The things people forget or don't
realize include that fact that it can be cold at night. Always take a
jacket. Also, the wind usually picks up and your fire begins to blow
smoke in a specific direction. Be prepared to move from time to time.
Now for the event!
People play games around bonfires,
which makes for a party. They sing, tell stories, they eat and some even
bring entertainment. Be it a friendship gathering, birthday, anniversary
or other such event, just be prepared to get dirty, sandy, smoky, and
have fun. This event is available every day of the year, with
evenings being the finest time to enjoy the activity. As the sun goes
down over the Pacific Ocean, there's nothing finer than a beautiful
California beach bonfire.
