The
Phoenix Club Oktoberfest, Anaheim,
California
Phoenix Club Anaheim has a
long history of carrying the culture and
traditions of Germany in Southern
California. While residents embrace the fine
weather, fast pace and mellow lifestyle that
this tourism mecca offers, many also find
the celebrations and traditions of German
culture to their liking. For some it is a
heritage to be remembered and honored, and
for others it is an effort to enjoy the best
of other cultures that are introduced into
the lifestyle of Orange County where The
Phoenix Club resides.
With around 3 million
residents in the region, it is no surprise
that such a club is supported by its fan
base. And just 15 to 20 miles away, there's
another German / Bavarian club with a
shopping center, meeting hall, German
restaurants, and even church services in
German. Old World Village in Huntington
Beach offers the west OC Oktoberfest
experience while Anaheim's Phoenix Club
offers a location northeast of the beach,
not far from Disneyland.
The Phoenix Club in
Anaheim, though not as sexy and youth
oriented in its Oktoberfest offerings, is
more authentic to the cultures of Europe.
The club offers membership and hosts dances
throughout the year featuring German bands,
singers, and ethnic dance music.
The club has several
restaurants, meeting space, and is ideally
located near four major freeways for easy
access. If you are visiting Disneyland
during September or October, do make a point
to spend an evening at Oktoberfest if you
get a chance. It's really a blast.
