Event Overview
These three-hour clinics run by Swim Art will prepare you to swim comfortably in open water. We will teach you everything you need to know: relaxation skills, how to overcome the cold, and sighting. The program includes a one-hour talk and one hour spent in the water doing drills. If you are interested in trying OW swimming for the first time, have some fear about the cold, or want to transfer your pool swimming skills to a more challenging environment, this intro clinic is a perfect for you.

Additional Notes
Prerequisites - must be able to swim one length of the pool, crawl stroke, without stopping. This is not a technique clinic. Equipment to have for the clinic:
- Lots of warm clothes and a hat to put on after you swim
- Sunscreen
- Bottle of warm water to clean the sand off your feet off after
- Body Glide or Vaseline (if you don't have any we'll have some extra, too)
- Goggles
- Swim Suit
- Wetsuit (optional)
- Earplugs, if your ears are at all sensitive to the water
- Trash bag to take your wet wetsuit home in
After completing the intro clinic, you might be interested in joining our regular Group Swims at Aquatic Park. Every other Monday evening from March through October. $10 for Casual Swim. $20 for Coached Swim.More info is at: http://swim-art.com/groupswims.html
