ARNOLD - Sierra Nevada Folk Arts
Festival. 37th Annual event on July 4 & 5
features over 60 booths of fine arts, crafts,
and gourmet foods. Live country/swing music by
the "Stardust Cowboys" from Sacramento and
famous juggler Mark "Bonzai" Bunnell from San
Francisco perform each day; continuous
entertainment. Annual Ebbett’s Pass parade is
held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. on Highway 4. The
Ebbett’s Pass Lion’s Club pancake breakfast is
served both days from 7:30 - 11:00. The Ebbett’s
Pass Volunteer Fire Department offers local
beers. Hours of the festival are 10 - 5 each
day, and admission and parking are free.

- Angel Island After the Fire Hike. Docent
led tour takes you by the areas where a fire
destroyed plants and trees, and will show how it
is recovering. Learn about the historic
sites and impact on vegetation and the BayWood
Artists. The hike is about 6 miles. Take the
earliest ferry from San Francisco or Tiburon and
meet at 10:30 at the Island gift shop. Return on
the last ferry. Bring hiking shoes, layered
clothing, water, lunch, camera, and binoculars.
