Festival of Lights Epiphany Concert with Carol Ann Manzi,
Soprano in concert in Santa Barbara
The Epiphany Festival of Lights concert showcases soprano Carol
Ann Manzi on Sunday, February 1st at 3:30 P.M. Music at Trinity
community concert series hosts the program at 1500 State and
Micheltorena Streets in Santa Barbara. The community is invited
to experience the sonic splendor of music in sacred space.
Carol Ann Manzi is one of the most soulful singers in the world
today. The Opera News publication called Carol Ann Manzi’s
voice, “secure, warm and multifaceted.” Nearly every reviewer
raved about her “gorgeous and crystalline pianissimo singing,”
and her expressivity, long lines, and highly believable
interpretations. In 2007-2008, the Yale graduate continued her
worldwide public speaking events and concert tours for breast
cancer causes with engagement s in Austria, the Czech Republic,
Dallas, and various parts of the United State. Ms. Manzi
appeared in concert at the Montecito Music Academy of the West,
singing arias and a composition by pianist and composer, Stephen
Kelly. She was featured in concert with classical guitarist
Thomas Heck at the Giuliani Guitar Festival in Pasadena. She
concertized in Austria and the Czech Republic, where she will
record an album of sacred music with Maestro Vladimir Popelka in
2009. She appeared on three occasions to great acclaim, as guest
soloist at the Jefferson-Jackson Democratic Fundraiser in
Southern California. Her Epiphany concert program highlights a
collection of inspirational songs of new beginnings, expressing
the themes of a new way of life, compassion, forgiveness,
renewal, and love.
