January 2009 starts with a bang. As the 2009 Tournament of Roses kicks into gear with a fabulous parade and (8 shiny reindeer, oops, no reindeer, sorry!) college football, the year will prove that in California the events are king.
We've seen many event planners and event organizations really embrace the Internet to make their shows, concerts and other exciting offerings appealing to the public. Why not spread the word about things that make people happy, stimulate the economy and often raise money for worthy causes?
2009 January tends to be a little slower than other months for conventions and outdoor shows. Though much of California doesn't typically see a lot of rain in January, the mountains do, and hopefully they also see lots of snow. You'll find some fun events in the mountain resorts this time of year. Down in the flatlands and especially Southern California, the outdoor farmers markets and artist fairs continue all year, cancelled only by a heavy downpour.
Get out and explore California events. Get out and spread the word about what fun we have, January through December. 2009 promises to top the charts for event bliss.
