EMBASSY SUITES HOTEL LAKE TAHOE RESORT
4130 Lake Tahoe Boulevard
South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150
Embassy Suites -
South Lake Tahoe, California summers bring crystal blue skies and
forest greens to the hills and mountains that surround a fantastic
hotel. During the summer you can wander around, walk for miles,
golf, shop, ride horseback, get hitched and gamble all night across
the street at casinos on the Nevada side of Stateline Street.
But when autumn
rolls around, skiers and winter sports enthusiasts anticipate white
powder and pale, Heavenly skies at the ski resort mountain, Heavenly
Lake Tahoe, that sits behind these perfect accommodations. This is
your opportunity to cozy up to a fireplace for a romantic rendez
vous or family reunion in one of California's great ski resorts
that's a hop-skip from Sacramento or Reno Airport.
If you've stayed
at an Embassy Suites all suites hotel, you know about the amenities
that make these properties so desirable. From a generous evening
cocktail bar to the free, made-to-order breakfast, it's almost
better than being at home. In addition to the spacious lodgings,
guests usually get a refrigerator and microwave in their suite, as
well.
Embassy Suites
South Lake Tahoe has an amazing location. Situated just around the
corner from the Heavenly gondolas and ski slopes, you can also walk
across the street and directly into a tunnel that connects with the
Nevada casinos and Starbucks Coffee. The beloved tunnel became
my routine each morning to fetch my very strong latté. Channeled
through the gaming lounges and slot machines, it's a welcoming sight
to see people busy all hours of the day and night.
Back at the hotel
room with my coffee in hand, I enjoyed the views of snow outside my
window. Even though the hotel was an atrium style layout as many
Embassy Suites are with living rooms facing out to an enclosed
courtyard, I was glad to have a window in my bedroom connecting
directly to the outdoors. The sleep could not have been finer with a
tiny crack in the window allowing the fresh, crisp air to creep in.
Attending a
conference in the hotel, I had ample opportunity to experience the
property's meeting rooms and spaces. It's well maintained with nice
carpets, shiny floors, granite counter tops and even a leather chair
in my suite. The bed was comfortably firm and everything was great.
Arriving hourly throughout the day are buses that run between Reno
Airport and the hotel. If you want to get away from the routine,
escape with a simple flight and bus ride (no need to rent a car,
even), to South Lake Tahoe's Embassy Suites. Just recalling it makes
me want to go back.
