If Laguna Beach is the gem of the Orange
County coast, Dana Point is the jewel adored by Henry Dana, an early trader
who called it the most romantic place. Dana Point contains a lovely harbor,
beaches with camping and a convenient location not far from San Diego or Los
Angeles.
Seen in the photograph above is the Dana
Point Harbor and Marina. It contains shops and restaurants overlooking the
marina, hotels with ocean views and beaches that stretch to San Clemente.
When taking a pleasant drive along
California Highway 1 or Pacific Coast Highway, or when driving along
Interstate Highway 5, you can easily stop at Dana Point to enjoy a walk,
observe the stunning vistas and dine on Mexican meals, fish, chicken, steaks
or other popular dishes at one of the great view restaurants.
