Also known as Corral Beach, this beach contains the only undeveloped coastal canyon in the area and is a common location for filming. You will also find that this beach has restrooms and lifeguards to insure convenience and safety. Dan Blocker Beach is about a mile and a half long and is a narrow strip of land covered in sand. Alcohol is allowed with an appropriate permit and a fee is associated with reserving the area for private use. There is an RV Park nearby which makes this a perfect camping location. The Coastal Conservancy Commission has pushed for improvements on the beach such as stairs and better parking, so the value of this spot is expected to increase even more.
Dan Blocker Beach is located about forty-five minutes west of Los Angeles, right off Pacific Coast Highway. From interstate 10 west, exit toward Santa Monica. Turn right onto Sea Vista and then Via Linda. After a U-turn, make a right onto Sea Vista and a left onto Pacific Coast Highway. Expect minor difficulties parking, but the quality of this beach will appease anyone. If you don't want to mess around with the parking, MTA bus lines are available. Memories are waiting to be made at Dan Blocker Beach, so don't pass it up!
