Costa Mesa might easily qualify as the event capital of Orange County, California.  Certainly the mega-center of arts entertainment, the Orange County Performing Arts Center has three arts complexes--the Performing Arts Center building with the unique Phoenix sculptural treatment on its exterior, the amazing Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, and the South Coast Repertory. Three entertainment venues in one complex provide for a wealth of entertainment that includes plays, musical productions, classical concert, pop, jazz and more. For those who can't afford to spend $50 on a show, there are some free summer concerts, and affordable Saturday morning and daytime events that provide a taste of the great entertainment provided, often in a more casual atmosphere.
