Civil War Guns and Weapons - Reenactors Fire in Mock Battle in a California Civil War Reenactments are held throughout California. From little children wearing dungarees and wrinkled cotton shirts to moms and dads in full uniform or attire from the 1800's, the Civil War Re-enactments include battles, canon fire and strategy. Each battle is a surprise but the battles are created to authentic a  real experience from the Civil War era. The living history allows adults and children to see the harsh reality of that era that eventually united the USA into a nation. Californians played a roll in the Civil War. They sent troops east and they also guarded regions of the Southwest.
