City of Stanton, California

Population: 38,000 approx.

Stanton, at 3.1 square miles, is a growing city of more than 38,000 people. Much of the city’s life unfolds along Beach Boulevard between Ball Road and Garden Grove Boulevard. Driving down Beach Boulevard from the California beaches through Stanton, you'd have a difficult time determining where it starts and stops. It not very large and on Beach Boulevard, is overshadowed somewhat by its neighbors such as Buena Park, home to Knott's Berry Farm.  This small Orange County, California city enjoys the amusements such as Knott's and nearby Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, while maintaining an identity as an affordable community by Southern California standards, where the average home prices is well above $600,000.

Many of Stanton’s landmarks have Beach Boulevard addresses. The most famous is the specialty shop complex and kiddie amusement park Hobby City-Adventure City, on the border of Stanton and Anaheim. Other landmarks include the multi-ethnic shops of International Marketplace Indoor Swapmeet and the circle-shaped Mad Greek Restaurant.

Big businesses include a concrete-block manufacturer and a sign manufacturer. The largest employer is a recycling environmental management company with more than 500 workers.

For those seeking affordable accommodations near the major attractions, you can choose between several Stanton hotels.
