Stanton, at 3.1 square miles, is a growing city of more than 38,000 people.
Much of the city’s life unfolds along Beach Boulevard between Ball Road and
Garden Grove Boulevard. Driving down Beach Boulevard from the California
beaches through Stanton, you'd have a difficult time determining where it
starts and stops. It not very large and on Beach Boulevard, is overshadowed
somewhat by its neighbors such as Buena Park, home to Knott's Berry Farm.
This small Orange County, California city enjoys the amusements such as
Knott's and nearby Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, while maintaining an
identity as an affordable community by Southern California standards, where
the average home prices is well above $600,000.
Many of Stanton’s landmarks have Beach Boulevard addresses. The most famous
is the specialty shop complex and kiddie amusement park Hobby City-Adventure
City, on the border of Stanton and Anaheim. Other landmarks include the
multi-ethnic shops of International Marketplace Indoor Swapmeet and the
circle-shaped Mad Greek Restaurant.
Big businesses include a concrete-block manufacturer and a sign
manufacturer. The largest employer is a recycling environmental management
company with more than 500 workers.
