The California mountain chain hotels are limited as are hotels in general. Your best bet for mountain chain accommodations are in South Lake Tahoe. Yosemite National Park hotels are quite limited, and Mammoth has build some new hotels, though they do fill up as well. Sequoia National Park really has only a hotel or two inside the park so pickings are slim in the California Sierra Nevada mountain range. But not to worry. The sparse conditions keep this destination enjoyable for those seeking a pristine mountain experience away from the huge cities and hundreds of buildings. You come to the mountains to get away, and that, you will do, in California's mountain resorts.
