California shopping
In the early 20th Century, a castle was built up the
hill north of town in the Santa Lucia mountains. This luxurious estate
filled with the finest art, marble and stones from around the world was
frequented by films stars and the world's elite who also passed through
cities such as Cambria. Perhaps the influx of wealthy guests helped
transform Cambria from a lumber and trade community to an artists' mecca.
Though there are not as many galleries as in Carmel, there are enough to
occupy a day's worth of shopping.
Seekers Glass Gallery has carried Josh Simpson's Inhabited
Planets and the beautiful sea creations such as the jelly fish by Richard Satava. Since 1981, Seekers owners have traveled and sought the
finest glass artists. They offer trade ins and trade ups for items purchased
at their shop. Seekers Glass Gallery 4090
