- Walk for Hope is the City of
Hope’s ninth annual Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer. Held at
the scenic University of San Diego campus, registrants of all
ages will enjoy a lively atmosphere with entertainment, music,
food, giveaways and Survivor Pavilion. Special hosts ABC 10 News
Bill Griffith and Channel 933 personality Geena the Latina, will
be on hand to cheer participants on. Registration begins
at 7:45 a.m. and the 3k and 5k walks begin at 9 a.m. Even if you
cannot attend on event day, you can still register and fundraise
for a cure as a virtual walker.
Walk for Hope supports breast cancer research, treatment and
education programs at City of Hope, a leading cancer research
and treatment center. City of Hope is a leading research and
treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening
diseases. Designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center, the
highest honor bestowed by the National Cancer Institute, and a
founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network,
City of Hope 's research and treatment protocols advance care
