November 2007
November is the month in
which Thanksgiving, a national US holiday is celebrated in honor of the pilgrims
and early settlers to the USA. Always landing on a Thursday in the latter
portion of the month of November, events have sprung up around this day in which
not everyone wishes to sit and eat, or sit and watch televisions sports (mostly
football). For that reason we began collecting events as we find them to help
those of you who prefer to be out "doing". You'll find our small, growing

California brings
fishing derbies, fall foliage, wine events, and concerts galore. Also popular
are rodeos, chili cook-offs and art exhibits in galleries. This is the time of
year when we try to get PR people to submit their Christmas events. If you don't
get them out there, the public doesn't have enough time to plan a trip to enjoy
something they might otherwise have attended.
