An
artificial poinsettia can be as popular
as the real thing. Go into discount,
department and craft stores and you'll
find an amazing array of colorful
products that look almost as real as the
naturally, California grown poinsettia
plants.
The
beauty of an artificial item is that it
lasts season after season and it can
take heavily trafficked areas such as
doors to public museums and buildings.
Shown in the picture above, an historic
museum (house) is graced with an
artificial floral wreath you would not
have seen during the Victorian era in
which the house was constructed. It
looks lovely, nevertheless, and its
simple color scheme looks festive to the
backdrop of a white door and wood-trim
building.
Wreaths with artificial poinsettias are
fairly common, but if you seek one and
are unable to find just what you need,
consider buying a simple wreath, then
decorating it with your favorite
artificial poinsettias.
Poinsettias are available in off-white,
red, pink and patterns, and their
artificial versions offer even more
options. They can come in purple, even!
For
storing your artificial poinsettias,
usually some tissue paper or newspaper
wrap and placement in a dry bag or box
till next year comes around will easily
suffice.
