Could life be any sweeter in Temecula? This is
where you'll find Pig Racing at
Peltzer Farms.
Welcome to Southern California's wine country.
And hot air balloon country. And Pig
Racing. Every year in September
through October, one country farm
offers free to watch pig racing with
costumed pigs running along, donned
in Halloween costumes and baring
names such as Pumpkin Pig, Jennifer
Hamiston and Brad Pigg.
The folks at Peltzer Farms, which opens to the
public in the fall, have a sense of
humor when it comes to having fun.
Open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the
Halloween season, there are pony
rides, a huge pumpkin patch, a corn
maze, petting farm, school tours,
railroad ride on a small, 12
passenger train, and a John Deere
tractor collection that will wow any
kid young or old.
In addition to selling pumpkins and
attraction activities to the public,
the farms also has some souvenir
gifts such as rare John Deere hats
(subject to change).
Located 6 miles east of 1-15, take
Rancho California Road Exit to Calle
Contento.
