pig tricks all delight tourists and
vacationers seeking for family
entertainment that you'll find in over
50 California fairs and countless
festivals.
California pig races are all the rage.
So are pig shows and pig tricks. Pig
owners and trainers often state they
believe these adorable creatures get a
bad rap. We began compiling pig events
and pig stats and found that in
California, there are a few companies
and individuals serving nearly the
entire state with their running, jumping
and trick pigs. Pig races are clearly
the favorite activity aside from the
petting zoos that include the mommy sow
and her piglets at your local county
fair. While some people adopt pigs as
family pets, California cities vary in
their ordinances that permit keep a pig
in your yard or home. As a food product,
ham and pork went into decline for a
time, but seem to be doing pretty well,
especially for holiday meals such as
Easter. An entire restaurant chain based
their business on the name, "Honeybaked
Ham".
