California offers some
natural mountain environments lending themselves to winter ice
skating rinks. But then there's the beach. It's warm and
probably hasn't seen a frost for years.
So, how are you going to ice
skate at the beach? There are
numerous ice
skating rinks in California during the winter months and
holidays. Portable ice rinks have developed the
refrigeration systems and know how to turn our beaches into palm
tree plazas where you can ice skate in your shorts and tees.
What we look for in posting these are

CORONADO -
Skating by The
Sea. Three-hour skating sessions will be offered daily from
2 to 5 pm and 6 to 9 pm. A special matinee skating sessions from
11 am to 1 pm will occur on weekends and holidays.

Fantasy
on Ice. In the heart of downtown San Diego's Horton Plaza
there's an outdoor ice rink for guests to enjoy. The beauty of
