| The Culinary Institute of
America (CIA) is a culinary institution training chefs in the
culinary arts. There are several campuses in the U.S., with
California campus in St. Helena in Napa wine country offering a
boutique dining experience to those seeking a great meal
prepared by students in training.
World class talent
converges at this epicenter of wine and food, to make for a
dining experience you won't want to miss on your next visit to
Napa / Sonoma north of San Francisco. While there are
great chefs throughout California, there's no region that quite
combines the scenic hills of Napa wine country, with some of the
oldest, finest wineries.
Fresh herb gardens on site
make the meals unexpected and delightful. In fact, when you dine
at CIA's Greystone Restaurant (named for the historic house in
which the facility is located), you will be able to select from
the current day's offerings. This keeps locals well fed, and
never bored. Visitors will find the meals truly a cut above the
norm.
When dining at Greystone, the surroundings are
breathtaking and include Napa Valley vineyards. The restaurant
space was designed by Adam Tihany, offering a view of the
chefs at work from every hand-crafted table. Combining dining
with entertainment (chefs must learn to prepare and cook meals
under the spyglass of their customers), the results offer
visitors more than just a meal served from behind a door.
The preparation is brought out into view, and the experience
addictive as you watch students and chefs work with passion.
Many have dined at
Greystone Restaurant, then signed up for special classes and
clinics.
