Burbank, Calif. -- Downtown Burbank Partnership and
Burbank Arts Education Foundation will host the Downtown Burbank
ARTS Festival. The outdoor fine arts market attracts more than
30,000 people and includes more than 100 professional artists,
making it one of the largest art festivals in San Fernando Valley .
The bi-annual show which is in its 4th year in 2007 will include a
city block devoted entirely to student art, student live
performances, demonstrations and special appearances highlighting
student artistic talent from Burbank Unified schools.
The fine arts event is held on San Fernando Boulevard between
Magnolia and Angeleno in Downtown Burbank. Attendees can purchase or
commission art, enjoy live musical entertainment, watch pottery
wheel demonstrations, see chalk artists recreate masterpieces on
city streets and help the next generation of Burbank students to
gain access to a quality arts education.
The Downtown Burbank Fine Arts Festival is produced by Downtown
Burbank Partnership in cooperation with the Burbank Arts Education
Foundation and West Coast Artists. The Festival is sponsored in part
by the Burbank Collection, Crayola, Ford Motor Company and Video
Symphony.
Downtown Burbank comprises 34 blocks of retail, office, residential
and entertainment destinations and includes more than 200 shops and
80 restaurants like Macy's, IKEA, PF Chang's, Urban Outfitters,
AMC-16 and Burbank Town Center. The area is bounded by Verdugo
Avenue , Glenoaks, Burbank Boulevard and the I-5 in Burbank, and
contains more than 9,000 free parking spaces. downtown-burbank.org.
There
will be a silent auction of sculpture, painting and photography by
artists in the show, as well other opportunities to contribute to
the Burbank Arts Education Foundation, a non-profit organization
dedicated to ensuring permanent and equal access to a quality arts
education for Burbank ’s 15,000 students. For more information on
