BREA, CALIF.--Big Wednesday
Car Show features Pre 1975 cars, trucks, hotrods and custom
vehicles, plus bikes. Imports aren't part of this gig, so don't
try to enter them! The American Muscles are the hot ticket item
at an event that offers 50/50 Raffles, prizes, trophies, beer,
and food discounts. Location: Bobby McGee's Restaurant, 200 S.
State College Blvd., Brea, Ca. Meets every Wednesday from

Where to stay: When making an
evening of it, you may want to spend the night in Brea at some
nice hotels.
The Embassy Suites offers the breakfast made-to-order,
and all rooms are suites. One of the more unusual Embassy Suites
hotels offers an Egyptian courtyard and multi-colored koi pond.
The theme is fun.
Woodfin Suites also features full breakfast and all
suites. Brea is close to Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland and
is one of the overlooked destinations that travelers never
consider. The Car Show is located across from the Brea Mall,
which offers another diversion for those who come along, but
don't dig car events that much.
