Benicia Concerts include Celtic Group, Golden Bough

Celtic sounds of the renown band, Golden Bough, come to Benicia in two days of concerts at the Camel Barns. In addition to the better known Celtic countries of Ireland and Scotland, Golden Bough will perform music from Wales, Cornwall, The Isle of Man, French Brittany and Galicia in Spain. Co-founders of the band, Margie Butler and Paul Espinoza, traveled to Galicia, Spain to  research the Celtic music of that province.

Combining folk styles, Celtic nations share a long history of culture and fine arts and their music often intertwines to evoke emotion the listening audience. Acoustic instruments and haunting vocal styling heard in ballads, lively sing-alongs and acapella pieces include Celtic harp, guitar, penny-whistle, recorder, violin, viola, octave-mandolin, accordion, and bodhran (the Irish hand drum).
