Room, Home, Tomb, Decaying Hole and Empty Room, a Play. Directed
by Ileana Drinovan, this play is set outdoors at the steps of
the Stanford Mausoleum (built in the late nineteenth century,

Leland and Jane Stanford.) Inspired by T.S. Eliot's 1922 poem,
"The Waste Land," it is a grueling and terrifying look at the
"waste land" of evil that can develop within us. This piece is
an original arrangement that artfully combines Eliot's poetry
and Seneca's dramatic works, "Thyestes" and "Agamemnon."
Beginning at dusk, "Dining Room, Home, Tomb, Decaying Hole and
Empty Room" progresses toward its dark conclusion as the
daylight, too, fades into night. Time: 5 p.m., show starts at
5:30 p.m. Cost: $15 General. Location: Stanford Mausoleum, 450
