Walk to Empower. 1st Annual event is a 3-mile non-competitive
walk. More than 1,000 walkers and volunteers will gather in
Veterans Park, Redondo Beach to raise money and awareness, plus
honor the survivors in your life, commemorate your own diagnosis
and remember those who are no longer with us. You'll also have
the chance to raise funds in support of Y-ME's free-of-charge
programs and services that are offered to all those touched by

SUNOL - Toast of
Spring on the Wildflower Train. Livermore Valley vintners host
wine tasting to during a one hour excursion filled with views of
California poppies, lupin and mustard wildflowers seen from a
vintage train ride through Niles Canyon. Board at the old Sunol
depot and travel part of the historic route of the first
transcontinental railroad. The one-hour round-trip excursion is
about 14 miles. Suggested donation for regular trips: $10 (this

Sunset Beach Art
Festival. Held each Mother's Day weekend, this giant 1-mile
long event includes art competition, vendor booths, raffle and
pancake breakfast held Saturday morning at the Fire Department.

Festival DIA de la MADRE. 2008 Mother's Day Hispanic Community
