County Fair - Summer of Sports is the theme for the fifth
largest fair in North America. The San Diego County Fair
features the largest midway in the region and top-name
performing artists on the grandstand stage, while maintaining
its traditional county fair attractions including: Livestock,
Home & Hobby, Woodworking, an award-winning Flower Show, great
rides and a variety of food and commercial concessions. "Summer
of Sports" will celebrate a wide variety of sports at all

Restaurant Week spotlights the desert oasis as a premier
culinary destination. Organized by Palm Springs Restaurant
Association, the six-day event provides local foodies and
visitors alike the opportunity to savor extraordinary
three-course, prix fixe menus from more than 40 participating
restaurants for $26 to $36 per person depending on the

PETALUMA -
2008 Sonoma-Marin Fair. Sustainable Agriculture Showcase,
World’s Ugliest Dog Contest and Lucha Libre wrestling, wine
garden, musical acts and Destruction Derby are some of this
fair's top draws. There was even scandal when someone tried to
rig the online voting results of the Ugliest Dog contest. This
year should be equally intriguing, and exciting. Cost: $15
