Featured Event is 1st Annual Momoo Benefit and Live Auction

ENCINITAS - MOMOO BENEFIT
HELPS AFRICAN FARMERS. Historic La Paloma Theatre in Encinitas
hosts a live performance by professional surfer Timmy Curran and
Escalara, featuring music by pro-skaters Danny Way and Bob
Burnquist. A live autograph signing, MC by Tom DeLonge of Angels
And Airwaves and Chris Cote, editor at Transworld, plus silent
and live auctions and raffles will be held throughout the
evening featuring donated items from all the biggest brands in
action sports, including autographed surfboards and skateboards
from high-profile athletes and musicians, shopping sprees and
custom collectible items. Guitar Center, House of Blues, Naked
Café and La Costa Resort and Spa will also help an extremely
worthy cause, Heifer International. About: Macbeth Footwear was
founded in 2002 by Tom Delonge of Angels Airwaves, formerly of
Blink-182, to create casual, fashion-forward products that
reflect the attitude and lifestyle of the music culture and
community. Macbeth has a line of vegan shoes to support
those that live a more conscious lifestyle. Heifer
International is a nonprofit charitable organization based in
Little Rock, Arkansas, dedicated to relieving global hunger and
poverty through unique gifts of cattle, chickens, livestock and
plants. Part of its efforts is and education program teaching
sustainable agriculture, to financially disadvantaged families

Momoo Benefit with Biggest
Names in Action Sports. A collaborative effort brings music and
action sports in the first annual Momoo concert and auction
benefiting Heifer International. Macbeth Footwear, Hurley, DC,
W.R.O.N.G., Plan B, Billabong and Nixon will host a live
performance by professional surfer Timmy Curran and Escalara,
featuring music by pro-skaters Danny Way and Bob Burnquist. A
live autograph signing will be held for the first 100 kids at
the door with members of the Plan B Skate team, including pro
skaters D. Way, Colin McKay, Pat Duffy, Ryan Sheckler, Rob
Dyrdek and pro surfers T. Curran and Damien Hobgood. Time: 7

SANTA BARBARA - Paper Cut. Art From Scrap (AFS)
Exhibit capitalizes on the remains and excesses of the holiday
season. 18 artists (mostly from Santa Barbara) create artwork
from reused or recycled paper products, transforming pulp based
materials into works of art such as sculpture, drawing,
painting, collage, photography, printmaking and installation.
The event aims to inspire individuals to enact positive cultural
and environmental change through art. Runs till Feb. 16, 2008.
