Annual Hats Off America Casino Night
The 4th Annual
Hats Off America 4th Annual Casino Night will be held from 8
p.m. to midnight on Saturday, April 19 at The Sycamore
Clubhouse, 635 Old Orchard Drive , Danville . Tickets are $40
per person. Reservations are required. Dress is business casual,
Guests must be 21 years of age. It will be an evening. with the
fun of gaming, along with dancing to local D.J. Steve Fox . The evening with kick off with the appearance for the second
year of “Lets Get it Started” by "Teri Crippen's Jazzercise
Performance Team," a local dance troupe, delicious hors
d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions, a drawing and a no-host
bar. Lori Beath will display her Cookie Lee jewelry collection
and donate a portion of sales to H.O.A..
Hats Off
America fundraising events are held each year and include Casino
Night on April 19; the Muscle Car, Hot Rod, and Art Fair on May
16,17,18; the Red T-Shirt 10K runs/5K walks on June 7, September
13 and November 8, and the Danville 4th of July Parade.

This is
another way that H.O.A lets families of soldiers killed in Iraq
and Afghanistan know they and their loved ones will not be
forgotten. Proceeds from Hats Off America, a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, benefit the families of the
brave American soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for
freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hats Off
America was created by Sparky George, owner of Classic Car Auto
Restoration and Repair in San Ramon, a Vietnam vet and the “Bear
Flag Runner” of Danville . In honor of service personnel being
deployed in Iraq , the Bear Flag Runner has been running six
miles a night, five days a week with a five-pound weight,
regardless of weather, since September 15, 2002 , logging 7,500
miles. The Hats Off America organization also takes donations
and pledges for the miles run.

28-year old Grammy Award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn, named

premier of “Tour de Force” by the Symphony’s Principal
Tubist Jim Self. Also on the program is a work by Paul
Hindemith, who took a few tunes by Carl Maria von Weber and

5th Annual O.C. Breast Cancer Fundraiser! The cocktail reception

Mar “TITANIC” Walkabout! 5th Annual Del Mar Costumed Walkabout

VACAVILLE - Medieval
Fantasy Festival - Medieval Fantasy Festival offers
entertainment and fun such as Pumpkin Chucking with catapults.
This Ratapult will have several divisions so that all can have
their chance at flinging artificial rats. Creative folks may
design and make fantastic costumes for their puppet rat. These
have two chances to win, first the rat costume contest and
second the best distance launch on the festival catapult or
trebuchet. If you don’t have the time to sew up costumes, enter
the distance launch part. Little kids will enjoy hurling rubber
squeaky rats. Longest distance for each age group wins a prize.
All are welcome to walk in the Pied Piper Parade. For more
information on all division of the Ratapult, and the
annual Medieval event with booths, food, entertainment and
