ALAMEDA - The USS
Hornet Museum commemorates Doolittle Raid. Living Ship Day
demonstration onboard the aircraft carrier includes Andy Popenoe,
a historian from the Doolittle Museum in Sacramento giving a
presentation about local hero Jimmy Doolittle and the impact of
the Doolittle Raid in WWII. Visitors will participate in mission
briefings, meet former crew, sit in the cockpit of a fighter
jet, enjoy the sights and sounds of naval aviation and witness
simulated flight operations as aircraft are lifted to the flight
deck and placed into launch position. Ship is berthed at
707 W Hornet Ave , Pier 3, in Alameda , CA. Time: 11 a.m.
to 3 p.m. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Museum

BODEGA BAY -
Fisherman's Festival. Blessing of the fleet, a pet parade, and
live music, and teams of four build a boat with a set amount of
materials in three hours and then race it across the water to

SUTTER CREEK - 2008 California Ghost Hunters
Conference. The Ghost Trackers Paranormal Research Group 6th
Annual California Ghost Hunters Conference brings the finest
venues in California for ghost hunting. Hosting its event at the
small mining town of Sutter Creek, this location was chosen for
its' incredible gold mining history and its' ghostly activity.
There will be three days of networking with ghost hunters from
around the country, a cocktail reception, hands-on workshops
teaching fundamentals and advanced paranormal research. In
addition, there will be investigations in a dilapidating,
three-story, dangerously scary castle hidden in the gold mining
foothills, as well as a Sutter Creek landmark. All-inclusive
admission to events is $150/person. Registration to the greatest
