LAGUNA BEACH - Art-A-Fair festival. 42nd annual art event located in a beautiful garden setting with 125 artists, plus live entertainment, fine food, demonstrations and workshops. This year's theme is "Venetian Carnival."  The event runs through Aug. 31. Location: 777 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, Calif. LONG BEACH - Long Beach Jazz Festival. 20 year old event features variety of top jazz musicians. Runs through Aug 10, 2008. Since 1988, featuring a wealth of contemporary and traditional performances by a host of internationally renown jazz artists. Between performances stroll the aisles of the international marketplace where 100 vendors present their multiethnic cuisines and arts. MORRO BAY - Embarcadero Art Walk. Spend an enjoyable evening touring the many Art Galleries along the waterfront on the Embarcadero in beautiful Morro Bay. SAN MATEO - San Mateo County Fair and Bay Meadows Thoroughbred Horse Racing.
