“Dog Days of Summer”
First Wednesday Street Party – August 6
The Pleasanton Downtown Association Celebrates Dog Days
Stroll down Main Street and visit vendor booths set up by a wide
variety of businesses to market and sell their products and
services. Make sure to stop in at the many unique shops,
businesses and restaurants in our unique downtown. You will also
have the opportunity to learn more about local community and
nonprofit groups. Take a break from all the excitement and
listen to the sounds of Jeff Reed on his guitar near the corner
of Main and St. John. Don’t miss your chance to cast a “vote for
your favorite cow “on the front lawn of the Museum on Main
Street. After the contest, the cows will be displayed in various
locations around town.
August 6, from 6-9 pm , during the 1st Wednesday Street Party in
downtown Pleasanton . This month's featured band is the
Houserockers. Main Street will be on the route for the annual
Pooch Parade presented by the Tri- Valley Guide Dog Puppy
Raisers so pretty up your pup, large or small. Registration
begins at 6 p.m. at Wayside Park at the corner of First and Neal
Streets. Entry fee is $10 per dog per category. All proceeds
benefit Tri Valley Guide Dog Puppy Raisers. The first 150
entries will receive goody bags.
Enjoy the music of the Houserockers in the beer and and wine
garden on Main Street, This 11-piece band is one of the hottest
performing groups in Northern California, bringing to life rock
and soul classics from the 60's to the 90's. Beer, including
selections from Anheuser Busch, Trumer Pils and local
micro-brews will be on tap. Great wines from the Livermore
Valley will also be available for purchase.
Sponsors of all 1st Wednesday Street Parties this year include
the Bay Area News Group, Anheuser-Busch, Trumer Pils and Movin
99.7.
Main Street will be closed from St. John Street to Old Bernal
Avenue from 5 to 10 p.m. There will be plenty of off-Main Street
parking available.

Fabulocos – Roots Music at Fullerton Summer Concerts in the
Park. It's a night outdoors with family and friends. Bring
picnic chairs, a picnic dinner and blankets to this casual

free family arts & crafts booth and food is available for

Hornblower’s New Summer Sunset Cocktail Cruises - The best happy
hour in Marina del Rey, Hornblower celebrates summer with
breathtaking views of the sunset from the deck of a Hornblower
yacht and a front row seat to view the sailboat races.
Hornblower’s two-hour Cocktail Cruise features complimentary
appetizers, drink specials and amazing views. The appetizer menu
varies but may include favorites such as, chips and salsa, fresh
garden crudités with herbed ranch dressing, Jamaican seasoned
