Chili Society is partnering with the Downtown merchants for an
officially sanctioned event. The judging categories include
Salsa, Chili Verdi, and Home Style (can include beans) and the
big pepper itself Texas Style Red Chili. The winner of the Texas
Style Red Chili has the opportunity to move one step closer to
the ICS World Championship being held in October. Adding spice
to the day’s activities there will also be the fire house and
restaurant challenges to determine the best Firehouse and
