| Sports and
Outdoor activities begin to predominate the California
Calendar as people celebrate golf, whales and St.
Patrick's Day. Everybody's Irish on March 17 and
throughout California you'll see people lined up to go
into bars & pubs for an Irish celebration of music, ale
and corned beef & cabbage. A prelude to this huge feast
takes place out on the lush greens of Newport Beach
Country Club, where the Toshiba Golf Classic invites the
world's top PGA golfers to participate in an annual
tournament. For those who love golf, this is the event
to watch. Some great music will be served up this month
throughout the state. From the huge concert venue rock,
indie and jazz to the more intimate clubs such as
Pechanga with the Moody Blues, you'll find music is
alive and well, and just around every bend in
California. Lest we forget, there's no place more
passionate about nature and the sea than Dana Point (fur
trader Henry Dana declared it the most beautiful place
in California,) and once a year they take share their
passion through Festival of Whales, with hometown charm
in events such as a parade, art show, horseshoes
tournament and bonfire at the beach. |

March brings
people out to begin the festival summer season.
Arts & Crafts, St. Patrick's Day and many things to
enjoy (including the beach), are offered during this
warming period as California sheds its winter sweater
and begins to think sunshine, swimming, surfing and
bikinis. Do you have an event in California you'd like
to get listed? We can do that. Just fire it off, but
include all the basics, please. If you're not into gems
and tattoos, then March also introduces paintball and
St. Patty's Day merriment.
