June, or June
Gloom, the California beaches are known for, doesn't have to
bring a malaise over you and the local landscape. There are so
many activities and events in California in June that you'll be
hard pressed to beat what's going on, anywhere on earth.
Wine festivals, balloon rides, Huck Finn fishing derbies and dog
parades are a few hot ticket items in June 2008. Add to
those are some unique, one-of-a-kind art events and artists
shows, dining events such as the Palm Springs dining week, and
concerts from artists that rock the world with their hot music.

Dances are
always fun, and you'll find plenty of places to dance, but don't
forget about Civil War re-enactments, flower garden tours and
Old World festivals with costumed actors playing the part of
their favorite characters. Do you love the fair? Well this
is fair season now, in June. The fairs are everywhere in
California and feature devilish foods such as funnel cakes,
carnival rides and home arts products, crafts, contests and the
